Reality check

Gaaah..... somehow i knoe at the back of my head, dat i've not been realli saving up! But i didnt exactly verify this fact....... until this morn! While surfing net & basically relaxing in front the comp early in the morn ... i started re-tinking of my financials and the huge comittments coming up! I muz realli get down to doing smth abt my spendthrift nature! Gosh...... Suddenly recalled my sttmt of transaction history dat posb sends over mthly. Tink i've rec'd one early tis week but i've juz nonchalently chunked it away! Managed to dig it out and took a detailed scan over it.

Gasp! Horror! Err..... the harsh truth is out. Yes. I've been spending every single cents i've earned every mth! Am not exagerating a single bit. It's nothin but the sad truth! I looked at my sttmt balance as at 24.07.06, and compared it to 24.08.06, with 24th being the day b4 payday! Err..the variance is like...less than $50. Meaning.....No savings at all!!! Cringed!! It's no wonder my account balance remained stagnant to date. Still, i got 2 give moiself a little pat on my shoulders! Coz...AT LEAST.. i didnt overspend!! At least.... i didnt spend more than i earn and slowly deplete my savings unknowingly!! ayee.....

OKie... no more convenient flagging down of cabs. No more implusive shopping....esp at ntuc (yes...m becoming an ah soh...gaaah!) MUz start keeping all my credit cards at hm under lock! Will pay for my lasik ops under an interest-free installment plan. Gona b more prudent....gosh! So disgusted wif myself rite now... Sighz... To tink i'm still planning for a yr-end holiday wif DD! BUT We realli need a break 2gether! Torn! Guess... no more new camera for moi. No more new wallet. No more new shoes/bags. Eeks... Reality sux! No more retail/food theraphy. Gona make effort 2 diligently put aside $ for wat i truly want now. A short cheap vacation. I knoe I can do tis! Will keep regular tabs on my saving account now!! Starting...this instant!!
