Reno Update!!

Today went wif DD to check on the reno. The gate to the recess area hv been totally taken down. In its place is a partially contructed brick wall with a large gaping hole in the middle, which is meant for the main door to be fitted in.


The whole hse is entirely in a mess, with bags of cement & debris lying all over. aiyo...see pic below for the current state of the living rm rite now...hah!! messy messy ahhh!!


Progress noted to date:-
- Walls of our WIW is oredi partially up
- Kitchen toilet's white wall tiles are all up
- Kitchen tiles are onli partially up, but the portion which is meant to be plastered hv been done
- Wall beside toilet hv been flushed (going to be where we plan to position our fridge)
- Flooring for masterbedrm & one other room hv been screeded (the 3rd rm is onli half-done)
- Part of the wall of masterbedrm MBR toilet hv been hacked 2 make the entrance bigger
- Tiles for this toilet is partially up

AND it's at this point in time when i realised smth didnt look rite!! Tot our MBR toilet is suppose to be laid wif black tiles. Y did the walls look so grey to mi. DD still say the tiles might be alittle dirty & hence appear greyish. He went to rub on the tiles & realised....... the wrong tiles hv been laid!!!! *Gulp* The tiles are indeed grey & are intended for our kitchen flooring!!! Haha.... The tiler made a mistake. Luckily DD insist on surveying the progress every single nite & fortunately, the wall tiles are only abt 20% laid. And the cement is still rather wet. DD managed 2 pull a few tiles off & at the same time, contacted our ID who quickly in turn contacted the tiler. Such a great relief that the tiler responded immediately & promised 2 go down 2nite to take down all the wall tiles before the cement dries up. Ah doi....... hehe.... At least effort is done to ractify thins.... gd gd....

Now DD wana go down tmw morn to supervise the workers himself liaoz. And also to ensure there's no more miscomm (if any). heh...now's the tiles laying part...so more critical bah

By the way, we had dinner at cityhall just now. And on our way to the bus-stop, we passed by Fullerton & saw a white beetle wedding car parked outside. So chio!!! Do not particularly like the car deco but the cute little car itself is enuff to make me drool non-stop!!!! Awww..... when can i hv my own beetle???!!! *dream dream** Nvrtheless, took a quick shot of it *hees*
