Satisfying dinner at Tao's Restaurant

Sis went to Tao's Restaurant @ Paradiz Centre 4 meals a few times & found the food veri gd! She liked it so much dat she deided 2 treat our whole family to it! Hees....*drool* The staff are realli frenly & helpful. They didnt even mind us bring Chloe along as they hv outside seats. Mi & DD reached 1st as we went 2 Bakers' Inn at Millenium Walk 2 get a choc cake, 2 celebrate sis's bdae in advance. The actual day is the coming Tues. DD paid 4 the cake while i'll 'bao' an ang pao 4 sis on her actual bdae as i didnt realli noe wat 2 get 4 her. Her taste 4 thins r so high...haha...dun wana risk buying smth she didnt like so guess $$ is the most practical.

It is a 7 course meal. The dishes r veri special. Appetizer is bread wif some mushroomy cheesy dip. Interesting. Next is salad, which i find veri gd!!. Like the fruit salad i ordered, which comes in a round portion. DD's salad platter looks even more interesting. Its different vege presented in different dressings in 3 cute looking glasses.

The 3rd dish is grilled mushroom wif black pepper sauce which tasted a little sweet. The 4th dish is soup. I ordered fish soup, which comes in a unique small little tea pot. Gona pour the soup into a small round cup & drink from it.....macham like drinking chinese tea but it's in fact fish soup. Special uh?! The 5th dish is the main course, for which i ordered grilled prawn wrapped in bacon. Not fantastic leh. Didnt taste as gd as it looked. DD's grilled chiken tastes better. Dad finds his pork ribs (which the waiter said is recommended by chef) too oily. Mum & sis's bf liked their grilled cod fish. Sis's steak taste juz okie 2 mi la =Þ

The 6th one is dessert! Mine is some egg custard thinggy which i find it too sweet 4 mi liking. DD & Dad had sesame pudding while mum had yam ice-cream. The 7th dish is actualli a drink. Mostly a variety of fruity drinks 2 choose from. I had ice rose apple tea. Tink the way the drinks are prepared r actualli juz throwing cutted fruits into the iced drinks....then tata...u hv fruity iced tea drinks....kekeke.....

Though the food is onli so-so, the service is fantastic! & they even hv live bands from fri-sun. But the sound system is abit hay-wire this evening & tink chloe cant take it. Dogs' hearings r usually ultra-sensative & cant take too high-pitch sounds. Poor chloe. She dislikes loud noises. So when pple clapped after each song, she'll bark non-stop! haha...the young singers commented dat chloe can appreciate their songs! haha...coz her barking is considered another form of clapping...hmm... haha...watever =)

We can oso dedicate songs. Only now then mi & mi sis r taken aback when Dad juz rattered off a few chinese songs which he likes. Some are Jay Chou's songs mind u! Woah....& these songs r in fact some of the latest chinese pop songs which both mi sis & i didint even noe. Impressed manz! haha..... At the end of the dinner, i went into the restaurent 2 request the waiter 2 light the candles & bring the cake out. hees....the singing group saw the cake & sang a live bdae song 4 us! Nice!!

And though we onli manage 2 eat half of the cake & da-bao the rest home, mi sis juz came into mi room a few seconds ago (while i m in the midst of blogging down 2dae's events) 2 tell mi she hv finished off the remaining of the choc cake! Y m i not surprised! haha...mi sis is one big eater! But somehow still alwez manage 2 retain a fabulous figure....Jealous!!! Y dont i hv the same genes uh? Sobzzz.......

Btw...I bought some dietary supplement 4 detox purposes from Nature Farm this evening at Suntec, b4 meeting DD 2 buy the cake. Hees....all bcoz of the bloatedness i've been feeling lately. Felt dat mebe detox can do mi some good! Its 3 types of capsules 2 cleanse the whole internal body system. A simple 2-week program. The sales ladies r realli gd promoters!! Keep saying how gd & effective this product is dat its almoz sold out oredi. Onli 1 box left at their outlet. Now they're hving introductory promotion at ard $70 a box. The new batch coming in will be sold at over $100. woah...sure anot? But i'm entirely taken in oredi. In the end, i bought 2 boxes. No harm buying another box & keeping till nez yr 2 detox mi body b4 my big day!!!! hees...as this outlet left 1 box onli, the sales lady called up several other outlets b4 finalli finding one dat still hv some stock. They'll transfer my 2nd box over & i'll pick it up nez week. But tinking i still hv mi cousin's wedding dinner 2 attend in the coming wed, i better start mi detox prog after dat...coz wedding dinner sure eat alot....hiak hiak....
