Nimlight's Little Diary: Swim at Hwa Xia

Was on pm leave on Mon to clear the last of my child care leave before the end of my coy's financial yr. DD decided to join me last min too! We went Parkway to have a nice cosy lunch together b4 went to fetch kae from my mum's place. And last min, while tinking of wat to do for the rest of the aftn, we decided to bring kae for a dip at Hwa Xia @ Harbourfront! But not cheap leh...i've tot dat it was abt $18 but only when paying then i realise, it's $28!!

There was another 1 mth old bb, oso preparing for a swim! woah...he looks so tiny and keep crying....oh dear...m pretty impressed dat the crying didnt deter the mother from putting her small bb into the tub! Tink if kae were to start crying out loud, mi & DD wld hv aborted this plan. As i place Kae on the changing mat to take off her clothes, i was a little wary on how she will react. Thankfully, she's still pretty oblivious as to wat's happening! But..the moment the lady took over (need to give kae some stretching & warming-up exercises), kae started to wail! I immediately carried her up to pacify her a little and instantly, she seems ok again! So we tried letting the lady take over again but i try to make kae hv eye contact wif me thru'out so she wldnt be too scared of a stranger lady touching her all a suden. Hee hee...

All went well.....my heart oso skipped a beat when the lady is putting on the neck float for kae but luckily, kae was suprisingly cool! Good....we started to put her down into the tub....and...waiting for the action to begin. ...... but... we look at kae, kae look at us....no kicks! Kae is juz happily floating in the water & seeing no need to move her legs at all!!! oh no...she inherited my "nua-ness"??? haha...but the service there is gd! The lady took over and started to massage little kae in the water & encourage her to kick her legs. The lady oso keep shaking rattles to get kae's attention so that mi, the Xtremely amused mum, can take nice shots of little kae in the tub! haha

Kae did manage to execute a few kicks in the water here n there but generally, she's juz floating ard and her little butt, keep floating upwards haha... in the midst of it, DD whispered to me "R we paying juz for kae to float, or to swim ah?" Ahahahah

And at the end of the dip, the lady asked if i brought a towel. I said yes and happily went to lay the towel nicely on the changing mat before gng back to the tub to see the lady lift kae up from the water. And...duhhh....DD look at me n asked 'where's the towel'? Sotong me! Wahaha..the towel is suppose to be wrapped ard kae once she's out of the water so dat she wldnt catch a cold during the few steps dat we need to take from the tub to the changing mat. Pengz...hahaha..i feel so silly!!!
