4 weeks old!!
Little Kae is 4 weeks old today! Can see dat her face is getting rounder & chubbier but her arms & legs are still pretty skinny! Mebe it takes time for nutrients to travel down the whole body? haha...But from the pic on the left hand side, see how tiny she appear when in daddy's hand! Like a miniature dolly!
Not sure if it's due to colic (*sighz*) or pure crankiness or too much sleep, but it's getting harder to get little kae to sleep after each feed. Her eyes will be wide open & when we leave her wide awake & alone in the cot for more than a few minutes, she'll start wailing!! And i cldnt bear to hear her cries for more than a few seconds. So either mi or MIL will cradle her. Oh dear. . .we're sure spoiling her! But.... how to tahan their cries?
This little gal is oso starting to chut pattern when sleeping. This morning when i went to check on her, she has managed to twist n turn her way 90degrees in the cot (in her sleep) from vertical position to horizontal position! Haa y do all babies do dat? N one more question, why do all babies like to sleep in a "surrender" position ie. both hands high up above their shoulders? haha
Like the way she cross her legs....haha....this is so like moi!!
Last sat, we had our first family outing! *hees* We brought little kae to habourfront to run some errands! We dressed her up in a pink romper & a little pink hat! She looks so cute (oki.. . mebe there's biase-ness but...which parent wldnt find dat their bb is the cutest? muahaha). We're too engrossed in making sure we've packed all the necessary bb stuff n ensuring dat we're carrying her in a way she's least disturbed from her deep slumber dat i forgot to take a pic of her! *pui* Now dat she's all decked in sweetie pinkie colour, i'll glare at whoever dares to ask mi if bb is a boy or gal Haha! Aniwei...First, we went OCBC bank to get little kae's very first savings bank book and also to deposit all the ang paos we rec'd into her account. Little kae's a little rich gal now! heee..... Then we proceed to wok ard for awhile to c c bb stuff but end up wif no purchases made at all. Not sure if little kae is getting heavier or i'm still weak, but my arm truly ached after carrying little kae for more than an hr! And i can start to feel my wound getting sore n i juz feel....realli tired. Hmm....mebe it's not an exactly brilliant choice to sneak out during confinement afterall.
Later that nite, little kae is cranky again. Other than trying to feed her milk (which she absolutely refused), we dont know what else to do other than cradling her. I'm realli so tired so i juz bo chup & left dear DD to handle little kae while i climb into bed to rest. Bliss!!! *hee*
Over the wkend, i've oso finali decided to invest in a dual breast pump so dat i can save 50% of the time spent pumping & spend more time on catching up on mi sleep! Hees....hence, thru the forum, i purchased a relatively new 2nd hand Ameda dual pump from a very nice mother who decided to give up bfeeding due to low supply. Not dat she didnt perserve, but as she's a vegetarian, it's quite hard for her to try ways to increase her supply. But she's realli nice & encourage me to perserve. Well, i'll try........sighz....keeping fingers crossed.Pretty pleased wif the pump! Much quieter & i can sleep abit longer in-btw pumps now! There's even a free handsfree stap thrown in so now during the day, i can pump while happily typing away at my laptop!!! The onli thin i'm lacking now is..... milk supply!!! This cow here need to jia you manz!
When mi & DD went to collect the pump on Sun (little kae is left at hm wif MIL), i suddenly felt so light-hearted wif juz DD & mi in the car! A baby can realli turn ur whole world upside down & u do relish some quiet couple moments too! After collecting the pump, we went JP to buy a bouncer for little kae. While woking ard JP, DD suddenly turn to mi & say "Y u nvr hold my hand?" Haha....Hv we realli not gone out for sooo long dat we no longer behave like a couple? But it suddenly feel so gd again...spending time btw ourselves....jus us =)
Shall end this post wif dearie little 4 week old kaelyn & her cousin, alden gor gor!

i can understand.. mini electric by medela is really quite noisy...haha. and wow, so fast you go outing already? hmmm, i must be a real kaui mummy then.. and yes, little kae looks really cute with her legs crossed! ^_^
haha muz faster go outing when little kae can spend most of her time sleeping. Wldnt dare to bring an awake bb out in case she becomes a terror outside n i'll be terribly helpless!
